you’ve probably noticed that i use mostly lower case and disregard standard capitalization rules. i just seem to prefer that look. sorry if this offends anyone – nobody’s reading this anyway!
ok, maybe everyone knows this, but i’m posting before looking it up… i came across an article in the april 2002 issue of discover entitled bad genes, good drugs that got me thinking. in the article, i learned that DNA has a biochemical code of A’s, C’s, G’s and T’s. the first thing that popped into my head from a illistration of a jumble of A’s, C’s, G’s and T’s was “GATTACA” – yes, i’m a big fan of the movie. so is that where the name came from… i’ll have to check!
i need to get a life! it’s like 12:30 am and i’m futzing with CSS code! tech has taken me over! are there any humans left?!?!
i spent some time this evening hacking around with mySQL learning the grants and stuff to make it more secure. i’m running mod_mp3 on shwango radio and am using ampache as an interface into it to manage playlist and such – haven’t made that url public yet! cool stuff, but had to hack some of the php to get around some issues. 18 gigs of mp3s and still growing! proud to say that most of it is from my own cd collection!
well, i’m really digging movabletype. it’s pretty cool and flexible. now i’m getting under the covers and tweeking things. gotta learn style sheets better. added the category label to the index page – see over there on the right! but i can’t get it to line up. oh well… back to tweeking…
netscape sucks. not much more to say. if you’re viewing this on netscape, you lose. netscape’s support of style sheets sucks.
well, it looks decent on netscape 6, but i don’t know many people using that. netscape 4.x sucks. i always wondered what happened to netscape 5!
whoa! style sheets are way cool. i haven’t played around with them too much yet myself. i’ll have to see what this looks like in netscape when i get to work in the morning. movabletype is very cool in it’s template/style sheet management.
yeah, another weak test. but i gotta work out the bugs somehow!
